SAFETY was at the top of the agenda when Solihull Fire Service paid a visit to a Shirley care home.

Staff and residents at Barchester’s Fountains care home welcomed the team who offered tips and advice on how to maintain safety within our homes as part of the fire service’s community engagement programme.

Jane, a resident at Fountains., said: “I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with the team at Solihull Fire Brigade, the talk was both fun and informative.

“Thank you to all the staff here at Fountains for always going above and beyond for us’

Arvinder Basra, general manager at the home, said: “We were thrilled to have welcomed in the brigade for our home safety talk.

“Here at Fountains, our ethos is about caring for the whole of Solihull in ensuring that our community is a thriving, forward thinking place to live and work.

“Partnerships such as these allow us to offer opportunities to our local community whilst ensuring the lives of those living with us are continually enriched.”
