SUMMER is in full swing at Touchwood Shopping Centre and Solihull residents are being urged to make the most of the ‘Costa Del Solihull’ before the season closes.
Over the past few weeks Silhillians have been enjoying summer treats including a beach in Theatre Square.
Entertainment has included performances from the Solihull Jazz festival and a ‘big summer beach party’ with a live DJ, bubble machines, face painting and competitions for the kids.
There’s still plenty on offer before the beach chairs are folded away for the year on September 4.
For children over two there’s a Magic Garden Party on Tuesday, August 23 and August 25 where children can decorate their very own plant pot.
And there’s free kids face painting until August 31.
On August 26 beach goers can learn some new dance moves at Bhangra at the Beach as Sohan Kailey takes to the stage.
Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood said: ‘’It has been great to see so many local people and visitors using the beach over the past few weeks – it certainly has been a big hit with all.
‘’The beach really has provided the ultimate, budget friendly staycation experience for local families.’’
