ENTRIES are closed for this year’s Knowle Fun Run but there are a few spaces remaining for those missed the deadline.
The annual calendar highlight takes place on Sunday, May 19 but anyone wanting to take part must fill out a form on the Knowle and Dorridge Lions website and take it along with them on the day.
Race organiser Adrian Harris said it is first come first served and there will be a premium price to pay – £20 for adults, £10 for Juniors and £5 for children runners.
The Fun Run has made hundreds of thousands of pounds for local good causes over the years – and organisers are hoping this year’s event will see them collect funds for the chosen charities – SoLO Life Opportunities and UK Sepsis Trust as well as local causes.
West Midlands Mayor Andy Street will be getting runners underway at the starting line before jumping down from the starter’s rostrum and run the 5k course.
There will be four runs for those under 9 starting at 11am, while the main Fun Run starts at noon at Arden Academy.
