FASHIONISTAS strutted down the catwalk and raised funds for cancer patients and their families.
Solihull St Alphege Rotary Club hosted the charity fashion show at Robin Hood Golf Club where just over £3,000 was raised for Help Harry Help Others (HHHO).
Funds were raised through an auction and a raffle.
There was also a fashion shop which displayed, dresses, day and evening wear as well as accessories including bags, jewelry and shoes at the event, which was organised by honorary Rotary member Maria Pulley.
Guests included the Mayor of Solihull, Councilllor Annette Mackenzie and Georgie Moseley, Harry’s mum and founder of HHHO.
Harry Moseley set up Help Harry Help Others in 2009 to help find a cure for brain cancer, after his good friend and fellow brain tumour patient, Robert Harley, became very ill.
Harry dedicated the last two years of his life to raising money for vital research into brain tumours, but tragically lost his own battle with this terrible disease at the age of 11.
During those two years, he raised more than £650,000, and won the hearts and minds of millions of people, with his determination, passion, love of life and his desire to ‘make a difference’.
After Harry’s death, his family, determined to ensure that Harry’s legacy continued, and encouraged by the huge success of his campaign, made Harry’s dream of having his own charity a reality.
The charity now offers financial advice, careers support, bereavement counselling, holistic therapies for anyone affected by cancer.
