THE FAMILY of a young man killed in a car crash in Eastcote on Friday have paid tribute to the ‘loving son, brother and friend to many’.

Syed Ahmed Sha, aged 20, died when his Renault Clio was involved in a collision with another car that was travelling in the opposite direction on Eastcote Lane.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics but sadly passed away.

Syed’s family have paid the following tribute: “Syed Ahmed Shah, a loving son, brother and friend to many.

“He was always full of life and brought joy and happiness to everyone around him.

“He was the kindest and most sincere young man.

“He will be missed by all. At this time we request that you allow us to grieve in private and to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.”

Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the regional Collision Investigation Unit, said: ‘Specialist officers continue to support Syed’s family at this tragic time and I would ask that people respect the families wishes for privacy.

“I would urge any witness who have not already contacted us to contact myself or my team on 101.”

Syed was a former pupil at Arden School in Knowle between 2008 and 2014.

The school has also paid tribute to Syed and has flow its flags at half mast in his memory.

In a statement, the school said: “We were very sorry to hear about the tragic death of Syed Ahmed Shah.

“Syed was a polite and personable young man who will be remembered fondly by those that taught him and his many friends at school.

“I know you will join me in extending our heartfelt sympathy to Ahmed’s family.

“Every student contributes in no small measure to the community we create together at Arden and the loss of any student, particularly in such tragic circumstances, is always a deeply saddening time.”
