A CONVICTED robber has been arrested in Chelmsley Wood after a police appeal to help trace an escaped prisoner.
Robert Parton was receiving treatment at Heartland Hospital last Monday (November 4) where he threatened hospital staff before absconding, say West Midlands Police.
After a three day search, the 30-year-old man was arrested in Chelmsley Wood on Thursday November 7 on suspicion of escaping lawful custody and remains in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Tom Lyons, said: “We would like to thank the intense public support in helping us trace this dangerous man.
“Hundreds of people shared our appeal and lots of you got in touch, and the information provided was invaluable to helping us trace Parton.”
