WHEN Age UK Solihull wanted to make up 150 hampers and bags of treats for residents in need over Christmas the Encore team at The Core were only too happy to step in and help.
On the menu were festive dinners and desserts ready for distribution with a touch of magic from Encore.
Sadly The Core Theatre and it’s Encore Café Bar remain closed due to Covid restrictions, but the Encore staff were delighted to get involved with this worthy cause, and get back in the kitchen to do some cooking.
Normally this would be a very busy time for the team, dealing with the usual Christmas rush, serving pantomime customers, and hosting private Christmas dinners, so they have been more than happy to lend a hand to Age UK instead.
Encore contacted their regular local suppliers and businesses, and the team were overwhelmed by the support and goodwill shown, as they were able to source the whole dinner through charitable donations.
