Employees put pedal power to the test for charity ride

A TEAM of ten employees from Forest of Arden Marriot Hotel and Country Club have pushed themselves to extreme lengths to complete a 52 mile bike ride and raise money for three charities.

The charitable staff took to the road and cycled to Breadsall Priory – racking up more than £460 along the way.

All money raised will be split between The Prince’s Trust, Acorn’s Children Hospice and British Heart Foundation – all charites close to the competitors’ hearts.

Event Organiser, Kirstir Cooper said: “As a team we wanted to really push ourselves to raise money for these fantastic charities, that make a huge difference nationally and locally, and this seemed like the perfect challenge.

“We all trained for months and were thrilled to finish the ride in 5 hours and 13 minutes. We are really grateful to everyone who sponsored us, especially the customers and staff at the hotel.”
