EMERGENCY services rushed to the scene of a two-vehicle smash on the M42 near Shirley early this morning (Friday).
A van and an HGV crashed between Junctions 3a at the M40 interchange and Junction 4 for Shirley at around 2.30am.
Firefighters and paramedics worked to cut free the man who was trapped in the van.
The man who was in his 30s, sustained serious leg injuries and was rushed to hospital.
