Elderly woman injured in terrifying attack by three men during burglary in Solihull

AN ELDERLY woman was injured in a terrifying attack by three men during a burglary in Solihull.

A Solihull Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information following a robbery at the property of an elderly woman in Elmdon Lane, Marston Green, Solihull on Monday, October 15.

“At around 3.45am, it’s believed offenders forced entry through a downstairs window, searching the property and taking a handbag.

“The 78-year-old victim awoke after hearing a bang and saw that her handbag was on the drive.




“When she went outside to retrieve her handbag she was attacked by three men.

“This was a terrifying experience for the woman, who was left needing hospital treatment for her injuries.


“She has been left frightened in her own home.

“We are urging anyone who may have any information or who has witnessed anything to come forward.”
