Owen Lonnon, 7, is a credit to his family and community.
As we report, he reacted unusually, for one so young, to seeing a charity TV advert on the desperate plight of people in need.
The 42 coats and other items of warm clothing collected by the Valley Primary School pupil were handed to the Care4Calais group helping refugees.
And he baked and sold cakes to fund-raise for a charity sending supplies to a city in war-torn Syria.
The charity was “blown away” by his donation, given he is so young.
Let we as parents, relatives or schoolteachers hold up Owen as an inspiration to others, whether children or adults.
