A BUILDING firm has handed out almost 400 Easter eggs to families getting support from Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Taylor Wimpey donated the eggs to the siblings of children receiving care from the charity which supports sick children and their families.

Amanda Smallman, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Acorns Children’s Hospice, said: “We’re so grateful to Taylor Wimpey for this eggcelent donation.

“At Acorns we aim to provide a happy home-from-home environment for families, so it’s wonderful to be able to provide Easter eggs for the siblings using our service. I think they’ll really appreciate this gesture.”

It’s all part of Taylor Wimpey’s Eggstravaganza Campaign which will see Easter eggs donated to charities across the UK.

John Symons, Managing Director for Taylor Wimpey, said: “As a considerate, responsible housebuilder we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build our new homes.

“Families caring for children with complex care needs face immense challenges every day, so we hope this Easter gift helped make everyone in the community, whatever their circumstances, feel included in the festivities over the holiday weekend.”
