AN E-BIKE and an off-road bike were seized in Elmdon during a police operation.

Officers from the Lyndon, Elmdon, Olton and Silhill (LEOS) neighbourhood team conducted the off-road bike operation alongside the Road Crime Reduction Team, to tackle the issues and anti-social behaviour that the off-road bikes cause.

An off-road bike and an e-bike were seized in the Elmdon area during the operation carried out.

During the operation West Midlands Police said officers were approached by residents, who said how much they appreciated that this was being done.

Sgt Willetts, from the LEOS team, said: “We are continuing to tackle the ongoing off-road bike problem as a priority in the area. With support of operational teams we have been successful in seizing two bikes which were being ridden illegally.

“We thank the public for their support and if they have ongoing issues then we encourage them to continue to report the bikes so we can look to tackle the issue in the future.”
