A DOG-LOVER is hoping to get tails wagging when she hosts a charity fund-raising event.
Lauren Mancell will be holding a free to attend event in aid of Birmingham Dogs Home on her driveway on Ralph Road in Shirley on September 4.
From 11.30am until 3.30pm there will be cakes, homemade samosas, raffle prizes, and games on offer.
Cakes are priced at whatever the customer sees suitable to donate based on what and how much they are purchasing, and games and the raffle have set prices.
Lauren said: “Birmingham Dogs Home has been close to my heart as I have always been a lover of dogs having grown up with them in all parts of the family, but more recently as I rescued a gorgeous girl named Jessica from there just under two years ago.
“In general however, I love hosting these events for various charities as I am making a difference to all those charities by getting people together and donating.
“Me doing something so small, that I love doing, makes some big money, and that’s all I can ask.”
Previously she has hosted events for Macmillan, Dementia UK and the PDSA and has over £5,000 in total for the charities.
