THERE is double delight at Solihull Health Check Clinic.
Not only has the company won a prestigious award, but the Clinical Director for Health Care and Nurse Consultant has too.
Eileen Page was handed the West Midlands Woman of the Year Award 2016, for her outstanding contribution to health and well-being at a glittering ceremony in Birmingham.
Justice Williams MBE, founded the awards, to celebrate inspirational and dynamic women, who are passionate about the field they work in and who make a difference in society.
The award was presented to Eileen, because along with her husband Pat, who is also the Managing Director of the Clinic, they have provided a specialist early diagnosis and health screening Clinic, accessible to all and with appointments to suit the clients.
Eileen knows only too well the tragic consequences of a late or mis-diagnosis as she lost her own father in 2013 due to sepsis following a mis-diagnosis of a urine infection.
Eileen said: “Being recognised as West Midlands Woman of the Year, for outstanding contribution to health and well being feels like all of the hard work, dedication, sacrifices and sleepless nights has been worth it.
“Everything I am the team at Solihull Health Check Clinic do, is always done with my Father in mind.
“Because of his tragic death in 2013, from a missed diagnosis that no-one has every taken responsibility for, here at the clinic, we are making sure no-one else goes through what my Father and my family have suffered.”
Meanwhile the company as a whole was handed the Solihull Chamber of Commerce award for customer care for the second year in a row.
Since the Clinic was officially opened in 2014 it has been awarded the Chamber of Commerce future face of business award in 2015, the Birmingham City Council corporate social responsibility award and the Solihull Chamber of Commerce award for customer care 2015.
Managing Director, Pat Fegan said: “We have an amazing team around us. Without the hard work and commitment to our patients, that every member of our team shows, we would not be a multi-award winning private health screening clinic.”
