Double celebration for Solihull nurse

Solihull Editorial 25th May, 2024   0

THERE was double delight for a Solihull nurse – not only did he celebrate a special birthday but also 20 years working in care.

Skaria Kakkamadathil Joseph marked his 50th birthday and commitment to helping others with a surprise party where he was presented with a gift voucher, chocolates and a luxury engraved pen.

The Ardenlea Grove Bupa Care Home nurse first joined Bupa in 2004, when the company supported his recruitment from India.

He has worked at Ardenlea Grove Bupa Care Home ever since, undergoing extensive training and caring for countless residents over his impressive career.

Skaria said: “I have made lots of amazing memories here. The fantastic teamwork over the years has been wonderful and is what has made Ardenlea Grove and Bupa a happy place to work. The learning opportunities and expansion of knowledge has been incredible.”

Outside of work, Skaria enjoys swimming, playing cricket and tennis and going to the gym.

Lisa Hughes, home manager said: “We are incredibly grateful for Skaria’s 20 years of service and wanted to show him how much we value all his compassion and hard work. He truly is an inspiration to us all at Ardenlea Grove.”
