WORDS jumped off the page and onto the playground at Dorridge Primary School.
To celebrate World Book Day, on March 3, pupils at the Station Road school dressed up as a word.
There were tourists, music, extinct animals and plants roaming around the school.
Catherine Biddlecombe, year 2 teacher and reading subject leader, said: “It was a fantastic day, once again developing the childrens’ love of reading.
“The children were so creative with their costumes and the corridors and classrooms were full of excited chatter all about the meaning of their words and their favourite books.”
