Digital classes to help Silhillians get online

Solihull Editorial 19th May, 2023   0

TIPS on how to stay in touch with loved ones, do a weekly online shop or surf the internet are being offered to Silhillians.

Age UK Solihull has joined forces with Eastcote Park Retirement Village to offer residents and local over 50’s free IT courses.

The Digital Champion Project has been running the course for seven weeks at the retirement village thanks to a group of volunteers.

Debra Wyatt, resident services advisor at Eastcote Park, says, “We are always happy to open our doors to local people.

“ They can come and share a free coffee and cake with us every Friday at 11am to meet new people and be part of our community.”

There are plans to run more digital skills courses throughout the Spring and Summer

for those over 50 and are beginners or want to refresh their skills.
