DETECTIVES have launched an investigation after a trio of thugs stormed the Co-op store in Shirley on Monday night (June 20).
The three men entered the Farmhouse Way store and threatened staff with what is believed to be a stanley knife and a hammer at 9.50pm.
They then ran out of the store and across the car park towards Monkspath Hall Road with a considerable amount of cash in a holdall.
Officers are continuing to trawl through CCTV in the surrounding area.
Detective Constable Jon Rankin said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of at the time and may have seen the suspects or witnessed the robbery.
“I am also eager for anyone who thinks they know the identity of the suspects to come forward.”
