Detectives given more time to question murder suspect as Solihull victim is named

A WOMAN who was found dead in her Solihull flat on Sunday (July 12) has been named as Kerry Woolley.

Kerry, aged 38, was found with fatal injuries to her neck at her flat In Warwick Road, Solihull at around 3.20pm.

A post mortem has revealed she died of an injury to her neck.

Detectives have today (Wednesday July 15) been given more time to question a 37-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder from the scene.




A statement released by the family said: “As a family this has devastated us. We would like to thank everyone for their support.

“We ask that we are now left alone to grieve in peace.”


Det Insp Nick Barnes from the West Midlands Police CID team said: “My thoughts are with Kerry’s family at this awful and upsetting time.

“Our investigations are continuing and I’d urge anyone who may have any information to contact us as soon as possible.”
