A STATE-OF-THE-ART 3D body scanner will give Solihull shoppers the chance to find their true body shape for free this weekend.
Rather than relying on the traditional method of multiple tape measurements by hand, the fully automated contact-free 3D body scanner privately and discreetly takes thousands of body measurements accurate to within 1/10 of a millimetre.
The findings are then printed out for users to take away their measurements.
The scanner will be situated in the Atrium at Touchwood as part of the Solihull ‘Destination Style’ fashion weekend, which takes place this weekend with style promotions and offers at independent salons and high street favourites across the town centre.
Expert stylists will be on hand at the 3D scanner to offer personalised tips, tricks and advice using the measurement readings.
A Prosecco bar will be nearby to offer refreshments and the first 20 guests to use the 3D scanner on each of the two days will get a free glass of fizz.
A fashion trail is part of the style weekend as visitors are invited to collect their fashion crossword found in the latest InSolihull magazine and take part in the ‘trendy trail’ to win a star prize worth a total of £1,400.
Each clue will direct participants to selected retailers across the town, including several in Touchwood, in order to collect the answers to the puzzle.
Among the stores taking part in Destination Style is Neals Yard, which is offering free sample packs and ‘create workshops’, to give visitors the opportunity to create unique aromatherapy oils.
Visitors to Monsoon will be able to see the store’s living mannequins as staff model latest looks in the windows.
And fashion accessories boutique Lesley Ashworth is offering discounts for matching bags and shoes.
Destination Style is being organised by Solihull BID, and Director Melanie Palmer said: “From high street favourites to our brilliant town centre boutiques, there will be something for every fashionista at Destination Style and the 3D body-scanner will make sure shoppers get that perfect fit.
“We’re really excited to be hosting the fashion weekend and hope to see as many of Solihull’s style followers there as possible, picking up the latest looks or enjoying a glass of bubbly with friends.”
