THE DEADLINE to get savings on energy bills has been extended.
Solihull residents can benefit from an exclusive tariff that will save them an average of £262 per year thanks to the Big Community Switch.
The winner of the September auction is British Gas.
With five plans to choose from, Solihull residents can switch and make savings regardless of their energy needs. The scheme also ensures that every tariff offers 100% renewable electricity, reinforcing the scheme’s commitment to sustainability.
More than 34,000 UK households have already registered interest in a collective switching scheme to save money on energy bills, and there is still time for Solihull residents to join their neighbours and register.
Due to the widespread popularity of the scheme, the deadline for online registration has been extended until November 14.
Councillor Andy Mackiewicz, cabinet member for Climate Change and Planning, said: “This scheme has already shown tremendous potential to benefit residents in Solihull, having already helped more than 7,580 residents save a staggering £1.921million combined since 2015, as well as 3,687 tonnes of CO2.
“This latest offer allows those that accept the exclusive offer by November 14 to save £262 on their annual bill.
“I encourage others to join their neighbours and register for free today, with no obligation to switch, to take advantage of this competitive offer.”
Switching energy suppliers can be a challenging task, and this initiative ensures that households have access to competitive deals through a hassle-free process.
Suppliers compete for the opportunity to offer households the lowest energy tariff. There has never been an easier, more practical way of saving money on your energy bill.
George Frost, UK country manager at iChoosr, said: “Big Community Switch has a clear mission: to help households easily find better energy deals and alleviate the financial burden of high energy costs. Now is the perfect time for residents to act, with the scheme providing a competitive tariff fixed for 12-months to protect residents against further energy price rises.
“Whether you are unhappy with your current provider or waiting for a more stable market, Big Community Switch is here to help with managing your energy costs more effectively.”
