David Domoney returns to Notcutts to share advice with Solihull gardeners

SOLIHULL gardeners were in for a treat after Chartered Horticulturalist TV gardener David Domoney hosted a special talk at Notcutts Solihull Garden Centre where he formerly worked as an apprentice.

The free event, sponsored by Miracle-Gro, welcomed over 120 customers to the garden centre on 30 March.

David Domoney, horticulturalist and author, is best known for ITV’s ‘Love Your Garden’ which he co-presents alongside Alan Titchmarsh.

At Notcutts Solihull, David spoke about his favourite plants, shared his own expertise on growing outdoor plants, houseplants and cultivating fruit and vegetables, and the many benefits of engaging with nature for physical and mental wellbeing.

The free event was the first in David’s tour around the country to share his love of gardening with the nation.

Peter Hasnip, general manager at Notcutts Solihull, said: “David’s early career began as an apprentice at Notcutts Garden Centres and Nursery, he started in our Solihull branch so we’re all thrilled to welcome him back to his roots as he shared such wisdom and expertise with local gardeners.

“Thank you to David and Miracle-Gro for bringing this free event to our customers, it’s a perfect start to the spring gardening season and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.”

David Domoney said: “It was wonderful to return to Notcutts Solihull and connect with local gardeners over a love of planting and the great outdoors.

“It’s the best time of year to get growing, I hope the audience enjoyed hearing some top tips and ideas to try at home.”
