Dancer offers free virtual lessons to keep Solihull moving during lockdown

A SOLIHULL dancer is doing her bit to keep the nation moving with her online dance classes.

Danni Cash, artistic director and choreographer of Dc2 Entertainment and Dance Company, has launched a free Saturday morning virtual dance class to lift spirits during the latest lockdown.

The Facebook live classes, Saturday Shimmy Live, take place from 10am each week until mid-February on the dance school’s Facebook page.

Danni said: “Covid-19 has affected so many people and I just wanted to do something positive during this difficult time.

“A third lockdown is really beginning to have an impact on everyone’s mental health and I just wanted to help make a difference, especially as we are so limited in what exercise we can now do and getting out and about.

“With Joe Wicks doing PE classes Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I thought a Saturday morning dance class which was open to anyone of any ability and any age and includes learning all types of dance from modern and contemporary to street would help teach people a new skill and really bring some fun to weekends.”
