Cyclists clock up the miles for Acorns Children's Hospice

RAIN failed to dampen spirits as a team of fitness fanatics got on their bike to raise much needed funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

A pair of spin bikes were outside Anytime Fitness Solihull in Mell Square over the weekend for gym members and passers-by to hop on and cycle in aid of the hospice.

In total, the club raised £190 for Acorns.

The gym set out to cycle 204 miles on the day as it reflects the round-trip distance from Anytime Fitness Solihull to all Anytime Fitness clubs in the West Midlands and back.

Shaquille Pabani, owner of Anytime Fitness Solihull, said: “It was great to see the people of Solihull come out and support our charity event.

“We’re so grateful for their kind donations and we’re proud to be able to be able to support a charity that does so much great work in our local communities.

“Thanks to everyone that contributed to the distance we covered on the day and we’re looking forward to hosting future events to support causes that matter to the local area.”
