CONTROVERSIAL breast cancer surgeon Ian Paterson’s criminal trial will begin at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday (February 20).
Paterson (pictured) faces 21 charges of unlawfully and maliciously wounding 11 patients between 1997 and 2011.
The 59-year-old carried out hundreds of so-called ‘cleavage-sparing’ mastectomies on patients at Solihull Hospital and for the private Spire Healthcare hospitals – Parkway in Solihull and Little Aston.
