THE RAIN failed to dampen spirits as visitors flocked to Lapworth Scarecrow Festival.
The much-loved annual event saw residents and visitors follow the trail, handcrafted by villagers and groups.
Trail hunters spotted familiar faces including Peter Pan, the Three Little Pigs and Goldilocks following The Land of Fairy Tales theme.
There was also a Lapworth School Painting competition, refreshments including hot drinks, cake, ice cream and a bar.
All profits from the day will be shared between Lapworth Village Hall, Lapworth School, Lapworth Players and Lapworth Women’s Institute.
