HANDCRAFTED angels have been donated to a care home for those receiving end of life care.
Chelmunds Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, have been handed yellow ribbon crochet angels, created as a symbol of comfort and dignity from Shirley and the Knitbitz group at St Andrews Church.
The angels were delivered to the home by Shirley from the group who placed the angels on the doors of residents at the end-of-life stage.
Geraldine Alfonso, home manager at Chelmunds Court said: “It’s wonderfully crafted, and a huge thank you to the group at church for making these angels for us.”
This gift grew from Chelmunds Court’s collaboration with the St Andrews Knitbitz group, who wished to support the home in a meaningful way.
After learning that yellow ribbons represent residents on end-of-life care at the home, the group chose to create these crochet angels as a companion symbol of peace, respect, and compassion.
