Coventry University and Solihull Sixth Form extend partnership

A REPRESENTATIVE from Coventry University visited a solihull sixth form to extend their ongoing partnership.

Danny North from the Student Recruitment and Admissions team at Coventry University visited Principal Martin Sullivan the Solihull College and Sixth Form campus to formally welcome the College to the partnership.

The partnership aims to encourage young people with no family history of progressing to Higher Education to carry onto university.

Being part of this scheme will enable our learners to access a range of benefits including priority booking and free travel to and from Coventry University events such as open days and “Discover” taster sessions.

There is also the possibility of access to Coventry University’s Lancaster Library and even the chance of receiving reduced offers for undergraduate courses.

College Principal Martin Sullivan said: “I was delighted to meet Danny North in College this week and accept a plaque to display in College that demonstrates our commitment to working closely with Coventry University.

“We typically get between 70-90 students progressing to Coventry University each year, so it is a popular destination.

“We are always looking for ways support those young people with barriers to Higher Education progression and this partnership should help us to do that.”

Danny North added: “It’s great to have Solihull Sixth Form College onboard as a proud Phoenix Partner.

“We are looking forward to working together and helping students with their transition into higher education.”
