Countdown to annual Knowle and Dorridge Lions Festive Walk

Solihull Editorial 27th Nov, 2021   0

KNOWLE and Dorridge Lions are inviting one and all to join them for their Lions Festive Walk on December 28.

The annual event will start and finish at Dorridge Village Hall and there will be a choice of a three- or six-mile sign-posted route.

All will pass through the surrounding countryside using country lanes and public footpaths. Young walkers will be able to join the Lions Safari Hunt on the three-mile walk, with a prize awarded for a correct entry.

Walkers can begin their routes from 9am until 1pm and will be able to collect maps from the Lions gazebo in front of Dorridge Village Hall, and make a voluntary donation.

All funds will go the Lions community fund, which donates money to worthy organisations across the borough.

Free parking is avaliable at Dorridge Village Hall, Ye Olde Knowle Bowling Club and Dorridge Cricket Club, limited to 120 cars, with additional car parking in Dorridge Long Stay Car Park at the back of Sainsbury’s petrol station for £3.50.

Walkers are asked to walk to the start point wherever possible. Appropriate footwear is recommended.

Refreshments will be available at Dorridge Cricket Club.
