Councillor 'baffled' after 11 metal bins stolen from Tudor Grange Park

A SOLIHULL councillor is ‘baffled’ after 11 metal litter bins – with hardly any scrap value – were stolen from Tudor Grange Park.

The bins were taken from the park near the town centre last night.

The council is replacing them with temporary wheelie bins until permanent replacements are installed.

Cabinet member for leisure, tourism and sport Councillor Joe Tildesley said: “We are baffled as to why these bins have been stolen as they have very limited scrap value.

“We will of course be reviewing our security measures. However, as is it a public park it is meant to open for people to enjoy, so we will have to strike the right balance.

“If anyone saw anything or has any information please do not hesitate to tell the Police on 101, leave information anonymously via the crime stoppers web page or call 0800 555111.”
