PLANS to convert a guest house in Marston Green into a children’s care home have been handed to Solihull council.

Proposals have been put forward by the current owners of Arden House on Maple Drive to convert the four-bedroom guest house into a care facilities for young people.

The decision was made as there has been ‘a steady decline in trade/turnover’ in recent years, according to documents handed to the council.

If plans are given the go ahead, there will be four bedrooms with en-suite facilities, separate office for staff and staff lounge, kitchen and dining area on offer.

Work would be carried out to accommodate the staff and offices.

Staff would be employed so the home can run 24 hours a day.
