RESIDENTS, pupils and staff came together to mark Ramadan.

Solihull School hosted an Iftar meal to celebrate the spirit of togetherness and reflection.

The event was attended by over 180 people who were welcomed by the headmaster, with several Solihull pupils presenting about the importance of community, unity and understanding.

Upper Sixth student Zain delivered a call to prayer.

The Iftar meal featured an array of traditional dishes, allowing families to enjoy a meal after a day of fasting.

Rachael Speirs, deputy head pastoral and anti-discrimination lead, said: “We are incredibly proud to have hosted such a meaningful event that brought our school community together to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan.

“It is important that we create opportunities for our pupils and families to engage with different cultures and traditions, fostering mutual respect and understanding.

“The atmosphere in the Refectory was amazing; a really wonderful evening.”
