SOLIHULL Sixth Form College has once more received national recognition for its commitment to equality and diversity.
The Widney Manor Road college was handed its reaccreditation for its Investors in Diversity award following an assessment by the National Centre for Diversity.
The recent inspection saw meetings and focus groups held with staff and students and questionnaires completed.
In their report, the National Centre for Diversity said the College provides an inclusive and accessible environment for its staff and students, with equality and diversity a key part of its strategy.
Assistant principal Louise Dale-Barron, who leads equality and diversity at the College, said: “I’m delighted that staff at the National Centre for Diversity recognised that equality and diversity lies centrally within the ethos of the College.
“Staff and student surveys support their appraisal of the College and we will continue to give this our highest priority.”
The College’s status was first achieved in 2017 and the recent reaccreditation means the award is now valid until August 2023.
