A FUN-FILLED charity cocktail evening in aid of Solihull Marie Curie Hospice will be held at Solihull Cricket Club later this month with dozens of fundraisers expected to attend.

Hosted on Friday (August 19), the event will raise vital funds for the cause which provides care and support for people living with terminal illness, and their families.

Tickets, priced £17.50, will include a cocktail on arrival, sampling of cocktails, a demonstration of cocktail making and then an opportunity to make a cocktail in a team.

Barbara James, secretary of Solihull Marie Curie fundraising group, said the event is open to everyone and will be the ideal opportunity for friends to meet up while raising funds for a worthy cause.

She added: “This isn’t the first charity event we have organised having previously hosted cake sales, quizzes, balls and tin collections.

“We can accommodate for 70 people at the club and we’ve sold half our tickets so far.

“Everyone is welcome to pop along for a night of fundraising fun – we want to raise as much money possible for the Solihull Hospice.
