A CLOSURE Order has been secured by Solihull Community Housing on a property in Chelmsley Wood.
Working with Solihull Police, the Closure Order was granted by Birmingham Magistrates after police found stolen goods and Class A drug paraphernalia at the property.
The Order was granted on the basis of criminality and breach of tenancy. It will only allow the tenant, her father, her children and a friend to visit the home.
If the Order is breached the defendant can be arrested and is then liable to imprisonment for a maximum of three months and will be fined.
SCH chief executive, Fiona Hughes, said: “We will not allow the use of drugs and criminal activity to take place in our properties.
“It is against the law and against the terms of a tenancy agreement.
“We want our tenants to live safely and happily in their homes and within their wider communities.
“Pursuing legal action is always a last resort.
“However, we will act in conjunction with Solihull Council and the police, when we hear of such crimes taking place in our properties.”
