This Christmas, as lights glow in our homes and we gather with family and friends, we pause to recognise the extraordinary men and women of our emergency services.
While many of us enjoy rest, celebration and time with loved ones, our heroic emergency services remain on duty ready to respond, protect, and care for our community when it is needed most.
Their steadfast commitment often means long hours, missed moments and personal sacrifice. Yet they continue to serve with courage, professionalism and compassion, offering reassurance in times of fear and help in moments of crisis. I say to all those making this sacrifice across Meriden and Solihull East, thank you.
At Christmas, we are reminded of the true spirit of giving and the importance of spending time with those around us who we love most.
From my family to yours, I wish you a safe and peaceful Christmas and a very happy New Year.
