THINK TWICE before heading to the tip with old furniture.
That’s the message from Antony Richards, manager at the Shirley Children’s Society charity shop who is appealing to residents to donate old or unwanted goods rather than throw them out.
The Stratford Road store is on the hunt for all types of clean and saleable furniture from beds and sofas to book cases and cabinets both new and vintage to fill the shop.
All goods must have all correct fire retardant markings.
Collections are available free of charge from the charity or pieces can be dropped off in person.
