A CHESWICK Green man has been handed a top community award for his work helping vulnerable people in the criminal justice system.
Len Cresswell was given the Chief Constable’s Community Award by Dave Thompson the Chief Constable of West Midlands Police at a special ceremony held at Police headquarters Tally Ho in Birmingham.
The award was for 26 years voluntary work as an appropriate adult.
The citation on the certificate read: “For your outstanding public service and the invaluable contribution you have made to vulnerable people moving through the criminal justice system.”
The ceremony also celebrated work done by police officers and staff, long service awards and the swearing in of new recruits.
