FOUR accomplished chemists at The Sixth Form College have earned awards at the prestigious RSC Chemistry Olympiad – bringing home silver, bronze and participation awards.

Myles Kofi Coke, James Mason, Cameron Parkinson and Akeeb Ahmed Saberi volunteered to take part in the competition set up by the Royal Society of Chemistry – signing themselves up for the firing line of tough questions.

Curriculum Leader for Chemistry Hilary Woodward said: “All four students who took part in the Olympiad are to be congratulated.

“It involves very advanced chemistry and only the best A level students can take on the challenge.

“As teachers, we had faith that these students were up to the challenge and they have done themselves and the college proud.”
