Chelmsley Wood shop joins fight against prostate cancer

Solihull Editorial 16th Oct, 2022   0

A CHELMSLEY Wood jewelers has joined the fight against prostate cancer by partnering with Rotary Watches and a property broadcaster to raise vital funds.

According to Prostate Cancer UK one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and one in four black men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.

So to raise awareness that black men face a higher risk of prostate cancer, Rotary Watches has designed the Limited Edition 1IN4 watch in collaboration with property expert, writer and TV presenter Kunle Barker which is on sale at F Hinds.

His father, Pedro is currently undergoing treatment for prostate cancer and although the cancer was thankfully caught early, Kunle was of course shaken by the news.

Kunle says: “Since my dad’s diagnosis, I no longer take my health for granted.

“I also now want to make more men aware of their health and risks of prostate cancer, and encourage them to see their GP if they have any worries or concerns about the disease.

“Don’t be shy or embarrassed – think of the bigger picture. Catching prostate cancer early will only benefit you in the long run.”

During October customers to the F.Hinds store will be able to see Rotary Watches’ Limited Edition 1IN4 timepiece, and for each one sold, the company will donate 10 per cent plus VAT to the charity.
