Chelmsley Wood man charged in connection with Wolverhampton murder

A CHELMSLEY Wood man has been charged  in connection with a murder in Wolverhampton.

Danny Cooper of Maytree Close, has been charged with the murder of a man who was stabbed in Raven Crescent in Ashmore Park during the early hours of October 12.

The 31-year-old was arrested on October 21.

He appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court on October 24 charged with the murder of Richard Helm.




He was remanded to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on October 26.

He was also charged with two counts of assault, two counts of criminal damage and arson.


Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, from the homicide team, said: “This is such a tragic waste of a life.

“Our thoughts remain with Richard’s family who have been kept fully updated by this development.”
