DIABETICS are being invited to find out more about the disease and the latest advances in care.
Dr Srikanth Bellary, honorary consultant in Diabetes will be hosting From Prevention to Treatment – How Technology is Transforming Diabetes care on June 11 at Heartlands Hospital.
The session will cover the latest research activity within the hospital, explain how members of the public can get involved, and provide practical advice about diabetes prevention and management.
Dr Bellary said: “Birmingham has one of the highest rates of diabetes in the country, so it is important for us to work with the community to advise on how diabetes can be prevented and effectively managed.
“This talk is a unique opportunity to hear about the latest technological innovations in diabetes care, learn how research in our hospital is making a difference, and discover how you can be part of that journey.”
This in-person session will be at Heartlands Hospital’s Education Centren from noon.
