AN AWARD-WINNING chef, a Bake Off contestant and star of Britain’s Best Home Cook will be making their way to Solihull’s food and drink festival next month.

Jean-Christophe Novelli, Selasi Gbormittah and Chris Bavin will be among those giving out culinary tips between Friday, September 28 and Sunday, September 30.

Organisers, Solihull BID, are promising the eighth food and drink festival will be the biggest yet, with 150 food and drink stalls, demonstrations and family entertainment.

And new for this year, a Food Festival street kitchen zone will be created on the High Street featuring live music and evening entertainment.

The festival will see the return of The Big Ale Trail, which offers a branded Ale Trail glass and chance to enjoy a swig at the town centre’s bars and pubs.

The Mell Square demo kitchen will be accompanied by over 120 continental food stalls and bars, children’s entertainment and live music later in the evening on festival Friday and Saturday in the street kitchen zone.
