SPORTING success was celebrated on the field as Solihull School were crowned cricket champions.
The girls’ U17 squad won the Eclipse T20 National Plate Competition after coming back from 55-5 to post a competitive total of 144 off 20 overs at Seaford College, West Sussex.
Mrs Ginn, Head of Girls’ Cricket said: “The teams were very well matched, and we faced a number of challenges throughout the game.
“Seaford got off to a strong start with the bat, but with some consistent bowling and a game changing run out, the match edged back in our favour.
“The teamwork and resilience we have developed throughout the season shone through in the final overs, and our Solihull girls produced the results when it counted.”
