SOLIHULL Police have launched an appeal for information after four men attempted to steal a car using an electronic device in Castle Bromwich.

The suspects allegedly smashed the window of a black Audi Q5 parked on a drive in Lyndon Close on June 13 at around 5.10am.

They spent 25 minutes trying to start the car, apparently using a device to try to start the car without keys, before giving up and leaving empty-handed.

The car owner noticed the damage later that morning and reported it to police.

CCTV footage that captures one of the suspects holding the electronic device has been released by Police.

Anyone with information should call West Midlands Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 and quote crime number 20SH/134951T/18.
