A CASTLE Bromwich couple will be taking to the skies for charity.
Faith Till and her partner Marcus will be taking on a skydive next month in aid of the Lily Mae Foundation in memory of her baby sister Ava Louise Roper, who was born sleeping in June 2019.
Since then the family have been supported by the Balsall Common based charity which provides one to one Baby Loss Support Service and baby boxes as well as a number of other projects aimed to help those who have lost a baby to stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage or medical termination.
Faith said: “My whole family had been overjoyed when we found out mum was expecting- but that joy quickly turned into heartbreak. Our beautiful girl became our beautiful angel far too soon.
“The Lily Mae Foundation supported my family during such a heartbreaking time, and we are now hoping to give something back by raising money in Ava’s memory and in honour of all angel babies taken too soon.
“The Lily Mae Foundation was there for my family when we needed it most. They helped us feel seen, supported, and not alone during an incredibly painful time. Their care made a lasting difference to our journey through grief.”
The pair will be completing their skydive on June 13 Hinton Skydiving Centre and have said they would like to raise £800 for the charity.
The Lily Mae Foundation was founded by Amy and Ryan Jackson after the tragic loss of their baby girl, Lily Mae in 2010 at Solihull Hospital.
Since it was set up the charity has helped over 1,000 parents, distributing over 4,000 memory boxes and support siblings during difficult times.
