A GIANT Christmas igloo cake has been officially opened in the foyer of The Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel, Golf and Country Club by Acocks Green youngster Cassie Coffman.
The eight-year- old was the winner of an igloo painting competition run by the hotel and the Solihull Observer.
Cassie, a pupil at Adcocks Green Primary School, was presented with a mini igloo cake by the hotel’s skilled pastry chef Nazim Hussain who made the giant edible igloo.
Then she and her mum Amanda and grandparents Jenny and Kenny Richards were treated to a Christmas lunch.
Nazim, 31, has been a pastry chef for 13 years and has been wowing hotel guests with his amazing creations for some time.
Last Christmas he made a child size ginger bread house and followed this up with a stunning depiction of a stag and young deer in a woodland setting using 32 kilos of dark chocolate.
