CARE HOME staff in Shirley went the extra miles to complete a charity fun run.
Fountains Care Home was full of excitement and energy as staff and residents came together in support of Barchester Foundation.
The Foundation supports older people and other adults living with a disability or mental health problems by helping them to connect or re-connect with others in their local communities.
The event saw staff dressed in fun costumes as they completed miniature laps around the home, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone watching.
Leading the charge was carer Claire and the home’s activity coordinator Louise who ran over three miles to support the cause.
Residents and their families lined the route, cheering, clapping, and waving as the team took on their challenge.
Joy, the daughter of one of the residents, said: “Amazing event, it’s lovely to see mum and others having fun and cheering the team on.”
General Manager Zara Friend said: “Fabulous team effort.
“Seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter from residents and family was such a joy. Here at Fountains Care Home, we are always happy to assist and support others.”
