Car stolen from Shirley driveway with child inside

A CAR was allegedly taken from a Shirley driveway with a child inside.

West Midlands Police say the incident reportedly happened shortly before 8am on November 19.

The mother of the young boy attempted to stop the car but fell to the floor as it was driven off. She was not injured.

The car was recovered in Moreton Road only minutes later.




The boy was not injured and was reunited with his mother.

West Midlands Police said: “A 39-year-old man was arrested on Union Road on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.”
